An AGM – HR (Assistant General Manager – Human Resources) is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing and managing the HR department. The primary responsibilities include formulating and implementing HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals, managing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and training and development programs. They also ensure compliance with labor laws, oversee compensation and benefits, and contribute to organizational development initiatives. The AGM – HR plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, employee engagement, and HR policies.

To qualify for this position, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. Extensive experience in HR management, usually over 8-10 years, is also essential. Candidates need strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in handling large teams and knowledge of HR management software are added advantages.
