Responsibilities & Context: 

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in VAT, Income Tax, and overall accounting management.

  • The main duties and responsibilities of an Accounting Manager include:
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Coordinating budgeting and planning processes
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state tax laws and regulations
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
    Performing cost analyses and making recommendations to management to maximize profitability
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring members of the accounting team
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data security
  • Liaising with external auditors and managing internal audits
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting laws and regulations
  • Handle VAT and Income Tax matters in compliance with local laws
  • Prepare and submit necessary tax returns and reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Educational Requirements:  

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance
  • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
  • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in related field

Experience:  

  • 3 to 5 years

Additional Requirements:  

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance
  • Strong knowledge of VAT and Income Tax regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Compensation & Other Benefits:

  • BDT 50,000 – 60,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)
  • As per company policy
