Job Summary

Sicunet Inc. is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to design and maintain the core systems that power our innovative access control solutions. If you’re passionate about building robust backend systems and APIs using Python and Django/FastAPI, this is the role for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Develop & Maintain: Build backend services and APIs using Python, Django, or FastAPI.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Streamline deployments through well-designed workflows.
• Scalable Architectures: Design efficient solutions for access control devices.
• Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles.
• Collaborate: Work with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver seamless software.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve backend issues to ensure reliability.
• Database Management: Design, optimize, and manage databases like SQLite3, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Version Control: Use Git to manage and collaborate on codebases.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to technical discussions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Python Expertise: Proficiency in Django and/or FastAPI.
• RESTful APIs: Proven ability to design and consume APIs.
• Database Knowledge: Experience in schema design, optimization, and management.
• CI/CD: Hands-on experience in implementing deployment pipelines.
• Coding Standards: Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git for collaboration.
• Frontend Basics: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional debugging skills and attention to detail.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Cloud Deployment: Experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• IoT Experience: Knowledge of access control devices and IoT systems.
• Security Practices: Familiarity with encryption and secure coding.
• Message Queues: Exposure to tools like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
