Undergraduate Programs:
UIU offers the following undergraduate programs:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- BBA in Accounting & Information Systems (BBA in AIS)
- Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSECO)
- B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering (BSCSE)
- B.Sc. in Data Science (BSDS)
- B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (BSEEE)
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- BSS in Environment and Development Studies (BSSEDS)
- BSS in Media Studies and Journalism (BSSMSJ)
- BA in English
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- B.Sc. in Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering (BSBGE)
Graduate Programs:
UIU offers the following graduate programs:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Executive MBA (EMBA)
- M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering (MSCSE)
- MS in Economics (MSECO)
- MS in Development Studies (MDS)
Admission Requirements:
The minimum qualifications for admission into an undergraduate program are:
- A minimum GPA of 2.5/2nd division/equivalent grade in SSC and HSC or equivalent public examinations.
- Students with a GPA of 2.00 in either SSC or HSC must have a minimum combined GPA of 6.00.
- O-level students must have completed a minimum of 5 subjects with an average grade point of 2.50 or above, and A-level students a minimum of 2 subjects with an average grade point of 2.00 or above (scale A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1).
- For admission to BSEEE, BSCSE, BSDS, and Civil Engineering programs, students must have passed Physics and Mathematics in HSC/A-Level.
- Sons/daughters of freedom fighters are eligible for admission if they have a minimum combined GPA of 5.00 in SSC and HSC examinations, along with authenticated proof of their parent’s identity as a freedom fighter.
- Admission tests are not required for students with a GPA of 5.00 in HSC/equivalent exams for undergraduate programs.
For the B.Pharm program, candidates must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 8.00 in SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examinations, with specific GPA requirements in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
Application Process:
Prospective students can apply online through the UIU admission portal:
. The application form is available at the UIU Admission Office on working days between 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM upon payment of Tk. 1000 (non-refundable). Applicants can also purchase, submit, and print an admit card online.
