Responsibilities & Context: 

Yunus Khan Memorial School & College(YKMSC) is looking for a dynamic professional for the position of “Principal” for their IT-enabled school & college. “Yunus Khan Memorial School & College” (YKMSC) (https://new.ykmcs.org/) is run with academic and technical assistance from bdeducation (www.bdeducation.org.bd). The institution has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities at Shamurbari, Gaondia, Louhajong, Munshiganj. This Bangla version is an English-intensive school that follows the NCTB curriculum with fully digitalized content. 

Educational leadership: 

  • Develop and articulate a clear and compelling vision for the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.
  • Set academic standards and goals in alignment with educational standards and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in teaching and learning.

Administration and Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the institution, including managing budgets, facilities, and resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and policies.
  • Implement and enforce institution policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Take care of Hostel Administration through concerned persons

Staff Management and Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer feedback to staff members.

Student Support and Well-being:

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for students.
  • Monitor student academic progress, behavior, and well-being, and implement intervention strategies when needed.
  • Establish systems for student counseling, support services, and discipline.

Parents and Community Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about school & college programs, events, and students’ progress.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to enhance institution programs and resources.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop short-term and long-term strategic plans to achieve the institution’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and growth and implement strategies to address them.

Institution Culture and Climate:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive institution culture that values diversity, respect, and academic excellence.
  • Lead efforts to create a sense of belonging and pride among students, staff, and parents.

Public Relations and communication:

  • Represent the institution to external stakeholders, including educational authorities, governing bodies, and the media.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the institution and communicate its achievements and initiatives to the public.

Emergency Preparedness and Safety:

  • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency plans to ensure the well-being of students and staff.
  • Respond effectively to crises and coordinate with relevant authorities.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on educational trends, leadership practices, and management strategies.
  • Participate in networking opportunities and educational conferences.

Budget Oversight:

  • Manage the institution’s budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure financial accountability. 
  • Principal are responsible for shaping the educational experiences of students, cultivating a positive school environment, and guiding the overall success of the institution.

Educational Requirements:  

  • Master of Science (MSc)
  • B.Ed. and M.Ed. qualifications will be preferred.

Experience:  

  • 15 to 20 years
    The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College, School

Additional Requirements:  

  •  Age 45 to 50 years
  • Should be fluent in English speaking and writing.
  • Time management and organizational skills (ability to prioritize tasks).
  • Ability to accept multi-dimensional tasks.
  • Analytical skill.
  • High organizational ability.
  • Must be proficient in driving ICT tools like MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
  • Salary may be negotiable for highly qualified candidates.

 Additional Preferences:  

  • Own smartphone or laptop (for client follow-up and marketing content).
    Computer Skills: MS word, Photoshop/illustrator, Canva (video and photo editing)
