Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management Admission full description:
According to Google, The Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM), affiliated with the University of Dhaka, offers postgraduate programs aimed at enhancing the skills of professionals in public and private sectors. The institute provides a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) degree with specializations in:
- Governance and Public Policy
- International Economic Relations
- Human Resource Management
- Project Management
- Public and Private Financial Management
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Eligibility Criteria:
Prospective candidates should meet one of the following academic and professional requirements:
- A Master’s degree or a four-year Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of professional experience.
- A three-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
- A two-year Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of professional experience.
- Exceptionally, fresh graduates with outstanding academic records (first division or equivalent in all public examinations) may also be considered.
Application Process:
- Visit the BIGM official website: www.bigm.edu.bd.
- Navigate to the admission section and select “Apply Online.”
- Complete the online application form, ensuring all mandatory fields are filled.
- Submit the form and await a system-generated email detailing online payment methods.
- Pay the application fee of BDT 1,000 via the provided link.
- Upon successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent from BIGM.
Admission Test Structure:
The admission test comprises 100 marks, distributed as follows:
- English (65 marks):
- Essay Writing: 20 marks
- Translation from Bengali to English: 15 marks
- Comprehension: 15 marks
- Grammar: 15 marks
- Mathematics (15 marks):
- Arithmetic: 5 marks
- Geometry: 5 marks
- Algebra: 5 marks
- General Knowledge (15 marks):
- Bangladesh Context: 5 marks
- Regional Context: 5 marks
- International Context: 5 marks
Financial Assistance:
- BCS cadre and Class-1 gazetted officers are required to pay only 10% of the total tuition fees.
- Students achieving a CGPA of 3.75 or above (on a 4.00 scale) after the first semester are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver.
- Those with a CGPA between 3.50 and 3.74 may receive a 20% tuition fee waiver.
- A 25% waiver on total tuition fees is available for students who pay the entire amount upfront.
