South Asian University Admission full description:
According to Google, South Asian University (SAU), established by the SAARC nations—Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka—is an international institution located in New Delhi, India. It offers postgraduate and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including Applied Mathematics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Economics, International Relations, Legal Studies, and Sociology.
Admission Process for Academic Year 2025-2026
Application Deadline: Prospective students must submit their applications by April 4, 2025.
Modes of Admission:

Entrance Test Mode:
- For Indian Candidates: SAU will conduct center-based online entrance tests at designated centers within India.
- For Candidates from Other SAARC Countries: The entrance tests will be administered in a proctored online mode.

Direct Mode (Without SAU Entrance Tests):
- In India: Admissions to various programs can also be based on scores/ranks obtained in recognized national-level tests such as JEE Mains, CUET UG/PG, GATE, GMAT, CAT, and XAT, depending on the specific program.
- In Other SAARC Countries: Candidates may be admitted based on scores from national-level tests in their respective countries or their qualifying examination results.
Application Fee: The fee for appearing in the entrance test is US $10 or INR 830. Applications are accepted only online, and payment must be made through the online mode.
Entrance Test Schedule: The entrance tests are scheduled for April 20 and 21, 2025, with multiple sessions each day. Candidates can register for multiple tests, provided the timings do not clash.
Reservation of Seats:
- Indian Applicants: 50% of seats are reserved.
- Applicants from Afghanistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka: Each country has 4% of seats reserved.
- Applicants from Pakistan and Bangladesh: Each country has 10% of seats reserved.
- Applicants from Outside the SAARC Region: 10% of seats are reserved.
Separate merit lists are prepared for each country based on performance. If seats allocated to one country are not filled, they may be allocated to applicants from other countries.

- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
- Register and complete the application form.
- Pay the application fee online or through a bank draft.
- If paying by bank draft, send it to the Deputy Registrar, Admissions, South Asian University, New Delhi.
Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully and apply accordingly.
