The university conducts admissions twice a year, for the Spring and Fall semesters. Prospective students are required to meet specific eligibility criteria and undergo an admission test as part of the selection process.
Undergraduate Admissions:
AUST’s undergraduate programs are categorized as follows:
- Engineering Programs (ENGG.): Includes Civil Engineering (CE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Textile Engineering (TE), Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
- Architecture Program (ARCH.): Bachelor of Architecture.
- Business Program (BBA): Bachelor of Business Administration.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have passed the SSC or equivalent examination in 2020 or later, and the HSC or equivalent examination in 2022 or later.
Admission Test:
- Engineering Programs: Candidates must sit for a Common Admission Test covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- Architecture Program: In addition to the Common Admission Test, candidates are required to take a Drawing Test lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- BBA Program: The admission test comprises English, General Mathematics, and Information and Communication Technology, with a total duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Application Process:
- Online Application: Visit the AUST admission portal at https://admission.aust.edu/ to create a user ID and complete the application form with personal and academic details.
- Program Selection: Choose the desired program or department, ensuring you meet the specific eligibility criteria.
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of necessary academic and personal documents, such as certificates and identification.
- Application Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable application fee of BDT 500 through bKash or other methods specified on the website.
- Submission: After completing all steps, submit the application and retain a printed copy for future reference.
